| The Valley of Pineta is one of the four valleys that form the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido. A valley dug in remote times by ever-lasting ice which nowadays makes the mountainside of the massif of Monte Perdido. To get there take the road A-138 which goes from Barbastro to Bielsa, and in Bielsa take the left turning for the valley of Pineta and the "Parador de Turismo" (state-owned hotel housed in a historic building). |

| THE LANDSCAPE | |
| La Vallée de Pineta est une des quatre vallées qui forment le Parc National d'Ordesa et Monte Perdido. Une vallée creusée il y a très longtemps par les glaciers permanents et qui actuellement forment le flanc est du massif de Monte Perdido. The valley is very long and the river Cinca runs along it. This river has its source at the beginning of the valley, in the circus of Pineta where are the waterfalls that drop from 3.000 metres of altitude. In the mountainsides of the valley we find a mixed virgin forest of black pines, beeches and holly trees among other species. In relation to the fauna we can see the lammergeier or the wild goat. In spring, when the thaw fills the valley with water and the sun heats the forests and the meadows, the mountain is an explosion of flowers full of colour and beauty. This is when lilies fill the meadows in purple. Any season of the year invites us to go for a walk around the valley and fills us with tranquillity and rest. We also have the possibility to carry out many mountain excursions in the National Park and its surroundings. |
